Upper Pass opened its Burlington brewpub in 2026 at 1127 North Avenue, in the former Simple Roots Brewing space at the Ethan Allen Shopping Center. It’s a different setting from the Tunbridge farm where the business began, but the brewery’s interest in making both familiar styles and experimental beers has carried into this next chapter.

Upper Pass Beer’s Maple Creemee cream ale goes well beyond putting a familiar name on a tap handle. Its recipe includes pure Vermont maple syrup and milk sugar, followed by conditioning on whole vanilla beans and additional maple syrup. The beer is finished on nitrogen to contribute to its smooth, creamy texture and is listed at 5.5% ABV.
