Imagine waking up in a tiny Vermont cabin after an overnight snowfall, surrounded by windows overlooking a forest covered in white. The bed practically fills the entire sleeping space, and for a few minutes, you can stay tucked under the covers watching the snow settle on the trees.
It’s almost like sleeping inside a snow globe.

And while I enjoy a luxurious hotel with beautiful amenities, there’s something appealing about escaping to a private cabin where the biggest decision of the morning is how long to stay in bed.
Cady’s Falls Cabin offers the simplicity of off-grid living without requiring you to give up the modern conveniences that make a getaway comfortable.
And with its own swimming hole during summer, there’s a good argument for visiting in more than one season.
## A Tiny Cabin With Plenty of Charm
Cady’s Falls Cabin is tucked into a wooded property in Morrisville, offering a peaceful retreat that feels removed from the busier resort atmosphere of nearby Stowe.
The cabin itself is small, but that’s part of the appeal. Rather than filling the space with unnecessary furniture or decorations, the design makes thoughtful use of every square foot.
And then there’s the bedroom. The bed takes up practically the entire room, with windows framing the surrounding woods. I love this design, particularly during winter when the snow-covered trees create a beautiful backdrop.
It’s hard to imagine a more inviting place to spend a snowy Vermont morning.
The compact layout also makes the cabin appealing for couples looking for a little privacy and time away from their usual routines. There’s no need for a large vacation rental when the goal is simply to relax, explore the area and enjoy being together.

When I hear the words “off-grid cabin,” I sometimes imagine a rustic shelter without electricity, running water or any of the conveniences I tend to enjoy when traveling.

I love that balance. You can spend time surrounded by nature without needing to pack as though you’re heading into the backcountry for a week.

## A Winter Getaway That Feels Like a Snow Globe
As much as I love Vermont’s summers, I think Cady’s Falls Cabin is particularly beautiful in winter.
The wooded setting becomes a landscape of snow-covered branches, and the cabin’s windows make it easy to enjoy the scenery without leaving the warmth of your bed.
I can imagine waking up early, making coffee and watching the snow fall before heading out to explore.
And with Stowe just a short drive away, there’s plenty to do if you want to venture beyond the cabin.
Spend the afternoon exploring Stowe Village, enjoy a leisurely lunch along Mountain Road or head toward Stowe Mountain Resort for skiing and other winter recreation.
Then return to the quiet of your cabin for the evening.
For me, that’s a pretty wonderful way to spend a Vermont winter weekend, particularly because you get the experience of staying near one of the state’s most popular destinations without being surrounded by resort crowds.
## Your Own Swimming Hole in Summer
Winter might be the season that first catches my attention, but Cady’s Falls Cabin has another appealing feature during warmer months: access to a private swimming hole.
I love Vermont’s natural swimming holes, particularly on those hot summer afternoons when there’s nothing better than cooling off in a clear mountain stream.
Having one available right on the property makes the cabin even more appealing.
You can spend the morning exploring the area, return for an afternoon swim and enjoy the surrounding woods without having to drive anywhere.
And unlike some of Vermont’s more popular public swimming holes, there’s no need to compete with crowds for a place to settle in.
As with any natural swimming area, conditions can change with rainfall and water levels, so use caution around slippery rocks and moving water.
## Explore Morrisville & Nearby Stowe
Cady’s Falls Cabin is located in Morrisville, a small Vermont community that offers convenient access to Stowe without being right in the middle of the tourist activity.
I love exploring Morrisville, particularly its local restaurants, shops and access to the Lamoille Valley Rail Trail.
The rail trail is a wonderful option for walking and biking during warmer months, with a relatively gentle grade and beautiful scenery.
Stowe is also nearby, with plenty of restaurants, breweries, hiking trails and seasonal activities.
I’d recommend visiting Moss Glen Falls, exploring Stowe Village or spending an afternoon along the Stowe Recreation Path.
And if you’re visiting during foliage season, the surrounding back roads offer some beautiful drives through Lamoille County.
